PVCu Doors & Composite Doors
PVCu Windows, Doors and Conservatories
A PVCu door is a stylish addition to any home, offering total weather protection and a longlivity conventional materials couldn't hope to match. An almost infinite number of styles are possible, by combining a variety of door panels with clear, stained, bevelled, fused or leaded glass features.
As well as having a choice of three colours, brilliant white, rosewood and golden oak, a wide range of hardware is available to compliment your door choice, from letter plates, handles, door knockers and viewers, numbering, the choice is all yours. More recently, we can source coloured PVCu doors should this be an interest to you in addition to coloured composite doors which we detail elsewhere on our website.
Our stylish PVCu doors are equipped with twin weather seals for total protection against draughts and water penetration. What's more, being manufactured from a much stronger profile the door will stand up to the rigours of daily wear and tear without any ill effects. We use flag security hinges on our doors, not inferior butt hinges with little or no adjustment. Our doors also offer optimum security benefiting from a minimum of a five point deadbolt locking mechanism and toughened safety glass as standard. As with all our products, they are fully reinforced with galvanised steel and have Yale cylinders and keys, a brand we all know and trust. Doors can be upgraded to the police approved ‘Secured by Design’ initiative should this be of interest to you.
If you are thinking of creating a greater sense of space and light to your home, why not have one of our Patio, French or Bi-fold doors. Designed by VEKA PLC, they have all the style, durability, weather resistance and security as our windows and conventional doors. We have up to date patio and French door options available for you to view in our newly modernised showroom. Patio doors can be the simple two pane type to large span 4 sectioned patio doors with double opening sliders. French doors are available from under four feet wide (1200 mm) to six foot wide (1800 mm) and can open inwards or outwards. We have also installed more recently, bi-folding PVCu doors which are currently very popular, these are available in nearly any colour and size. We have also sourced aluminium bi-folding doors where the circumstances have required this type of door and are available on a slightly longer overall lead time.
A more recent development in our industry is the introduction of a composite door which have a PVC frame and benefit from normal PVC doors with regards to high security locking and safety, but offer the consumer far more choice again with the style available. These composite doors are designed to look and operate more like a traditional timber door. They are flush closing like a timer door. The door sash itself is 48 mm thick and is available in a wide range of colours. The SOLIDOR and Rockdoor composite door system we use is a superior composite door for homeowners who recognise the value of investing in their property. It combines the lustrous look of timber with low maintenance and long life expectancy. These doors have been approved by the police initiative, ‘Secured by Design’ and are perfect for customers who want quality products at affordable prices, with added peace of mind. We can even offer a traditional stable door in PVC composite form and we have one of these on display in our showroom.
The coloured skin of the door is made from tough GRP and is through coloured to keep it’s appearance. This skin is then mounted onto a composite material sub frame which is supported by laminated timber stiffeners and then pressure filled with an energy efficient foam or solid hardwood sections in relation to the Solidor composite door.
These type of doors are very popular, especially in a new build situation and when you need to replace a more traditional timber door in an older property but don’t want to spend a great deal on a bespoke solid hardwood door. We have a number of doors in our show room for viewing and nearly always have some in our factory ready for installation.
